Remember guys, this is a baby shower not a bachelorette party. Your wife won"t be getting crotchless panties, massage oils, and enormous sex toys. This is a baby shower and most likely your wife will be receiving tons of things that you"ll be glad you got so you don"t have to buy. I"m talking Onesies, bootees, bottle warmers, towels, Diaper rash cream, etc.

In the otherwise informative and useful book, "Baby Bargains", the book makes the asinine suggestion for mother"s-to-be to raid their husband"s closet and wear oversized shirts instead of buying maternity clothes. I"m telling you, I don"t care how much it costs, it is not in your best interest to oppose any maternity clothing shopping. The mother is going through psychological, emotional, and physical changes during pregnancy while trying to balance some resemblance of a normal life. She needs to feel good about herself and trust me, you want her to feel good about herself too. So give your protests on practicality and usage a rest. It"s not worth it.
