Giving Thanks

Posted on 11 21, 2006 under Press by Noodad | 2 Comments

two9This week, here in the states, we are celebrating Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a time to gorge yourself with food high in carbohydrates, mingle with family members you haven't seen since last Thanksgiving, and of course, watch football.

But the part of Thanksgiving that I enjoy the most, (besides the green bean casserole with the fried onions on top), is the time to recognize what I am thankful for.

Today's article will be a little bit of what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving. I encourage you all to post a comment of what you are thankful for as well.

How To Survive A Kid’s Birthday

Posted on 10 09, 2006 under Press by Noodad | 1 Comment

Today was the 4th birthday party for my daughter. We had it at a farm. We went on a hayride. We picked pumpkins. A ton of people came. But the highlight of the day was shooting this video.

Team Noodad.com Kicks Heartbreak Hill’s Ass!

Posted on 09 18, 2006 under Press by wahoodad | 2 Comments

img_1141Well,
we did it. The valiant members of Team Noodad.com yesterday completed
and defeated the fabled Boston Marathon course in a team record 9 hours
on Sunday, September 17. The 26.2 mile course put up a good fight,
throwing all it had at Team Noodad.com in an effort to make us submit.
We battled angry, intolerant Boston drivers at many intersections,
tackled some steep thigh-burning inclines, and persevered through the
fetid odors of poodad stew baking in the rank plastic ovens known as
Port-A-Johns.

Kids Caught On Tape

Posted on 08 14, 2006 under Press by Noodad | No Comment

kid1It's
amazing what you can find on You Tube these days. It's as if people
think that if they caught it on their video camera, then it is ok to
broadcast it to the world.

Well if you are a predad, here are some things you can look forward to.
Having kids practically guarantee that when a camera is rolling,
something funny will happen.

Are Your Kids Wimps?

Posted on 08 01, 2006 under Press by Noodad | 1 Comment

wimpy"Maybe it's the cyclist in the park, trim under his
sleek metallic blue helmet, cruising along the dirt path… at three
miles an hour. On his tricycle.

Or perhaps
it's today's playground, all-rubber-cushioned surface where kids used
to skin their knees. And… wait a minute… those aren't little kids
playing. Their mommies—and especially their daddies—are in there with
them, coplaying or play-by-play coaching. Few take it half-easy on the
perimeter benches, as parents used to do, letting the kids figure
things out for themselves."

Ugly Kid Sparks Divorce

Posted on 07 30, 2006 under Press by Noodad | No Comment

A man from Hong Kong had an ugly daughter. He was skeptical because his wife was hot. He thought she was fooling around with someone else. Then she admits that she had over $100,000 worth of plastic surgery before they met. Man divorces wife for deceit.

This story brings up quite a few questions. Do you think your kid or kids are ugly? And if so, do you blame your wife? Of course, everyone says that their kids are beautiful, but the bottom line is there are some freaky looking kids out there. You see them in the malls, in school, and on the bus.

Appropriate Move or Overreaction?

Posted on 07 25, 2006 under Press by Noodad | 6 Comments

PBS Kids Sprout announced yesterday that they fired Melanie Martinez, the sort of hot host of "The Good Night Show." This was done in response to the news of a series of videos she did prior to her Sprout gig called "Technical Virgin". These videos apparently spoof PSAs about how young women can keep their virginity. Do you think this is an overreaction or appropriate action for PBS?

Team Noodad.com: Taking it to the Streets for the Jimmy Fund

Posted on 07 20, 2006 under Press by wahoodad | No Comment

I wrote an article a while back about whether or not to find out the sex of your child. The big follow up question to “Are you going to find out?” is always “Do you want a boy or a girl?” When asked this, most expectant couples reply–say it with me now–, “I don’t care…just as long as the baby’s healthy.” Unfortunately, not every family gets this wish.

On September 17, 2006, Team Noodad.com is going to help out some of those families by participating in the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk. That’s right, Team Noodad.com is going to lace ‘em up and drag our atrophied bodies over every last inch of the famed 26.2 mile Boston Marathon route to raise money for the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Here’s how you can help:
