Give Her Flowers…or Get You Death

Mother's Day, depending on how much you liked your mother was probably just a quick little obligatory holiday. You called home and told her you loved her. Maybe if you were proactive enough you remembered to send a card or even flowers. If you were like me, once I got married, my wife took over those duties.
{mosimage}{mosimage}Well fellas, I'm here to tell you that Mother's Day has moved up the importance chart. By my best calculations here is the order of holiday importance now that you are a father:
1. Anniversary
2. Mother's Day
3. Mother's BD
4. Christmas (if celebrated)
As you can see, this a day you should not ever forget. This is a day that you need to go and set reminders in Outlook starting 2 weeks in advance. Because if you forget this you will be in the doghouse for a long time. I know what you are probably thinking, "I don't care really about Father's Day so…" or "Well she's not my mother."
Just stop right now. You did not push or have a 5-10 lb living thing removed from your body. And no matter what happens, the mother does do more work when it comes to the kid. So make sure you remember and pick something up nice. Or better yet, give her something from the kids.
