We're not usually ones to move you away from noodad, but I think this article is pretty interesting.  The gyst is that the mother ADMITS to being disinterested in parenting her own kids.  Check this out:

A Mother's Shocking Confession

I can understand moments of frustration and boredom, but this seems like pure disinterest.  What would possibly motivate this woman to write about it in a national publication? What could she hope to gain? Is she trying to encourage others out there?

Life may not be all about kids in your eyes, but this site is.

Judging by your post, you don\'t have any. Thats cool. At least you arent this woman who had kids and totally hates them.

    Hi

Life is not about kids, at least not for intelligent people. Dumb animals live to multiply cause it\'s all they got.
So many force their family to multiply cause they want to know their line will not die with them. All that blah, blah about miracle of birth and love my ugly newborn is BS. :x
Find something to do with your life, set your own meaning and if it is kids, then don\'t go around in public breastfeeding, diaper changing, ruining every experience of other peoples\' lives just because you multiplied. And don\'t ask me for applause either !!!

    Laters,
    Squeek.

and she acts like her disinterest and boredom in her children is making them better people?! SERIOUSLY?! Since when has neglect helped anyone? She may be amazing in the business world, but as a person and mother she has failed miserably.

I don\'t even know what to say. I finished reading the article several minutes ago and my jaw is still hanging open in disbelief of what I just read. I don\'t know how this woman even has the gall to say she \"loves\" her children after all that she just wrote. Part of loving our children (and family and friends) is wanting to do things together and to help each in any way that we can. She appears to be a complete self-centered individual, not just selfish and bored mother. Can you imagine what her kids are going to feel like when they are older and reading this article? I\'m appalled.

I do not applaud this woman for having the \"sac\" to be honest. If I have the \"sac\" to jump off the Bay Bridge, should I do it? She just did.

What\'s that thing that Yoder said? Great Power, Great Responsibility?

There are thousands of women who can\'t have kids of their own who would drop everything to be mothers. This disturbs me.

I do applaud this woman for having the sac to be honest. But with honesty comes criticism. And I have no problem doing that to her.

I wish it was a joke, :sigh but it doesn\'t seem to be. I understand that raising children is HARD, TEDIUS, and even admittedly BORING sometimes, but in my humble opinion, there is no greater blessing than a child to love.

\"At this point in the conversation, my mind drifts to thoughts of my own lunch and which shoes I plan to wear with what skirt.\"
Either this article was a joke, or this woman is the worst human being ever.
