I don't think bed time stories are still effective these days to make them sleep. What I'm doing to make my cousin fall asleep is that I'm singing.

Yes! My daughter\’s always asking me to make up stories instead of reading the overpriced books we got her, and I never thought of using story lines I already know and love. Though, I have acknowledged the ease with which anyone who can rhyme and draw can publish a little girly book – all you need is some combination of princesses, fairies, butterflies, dresses/jewelry, a ballet/dance/ball, and a wish that will come true.
