Why You Shouldn’t Give Your Babies Water

Here’s a little tidbit for you noodads out there: you shouldn’t give your babies water. That’s right, you should not give your baby any water. Even though water is suppose to be good for you and you are suppose to drink like 3 gallons of it a day, it ain’t good for the little dude or dudette. Here’s why:
If you give a newborn or infant water, they could be at risk for brain swelling and even seizures. This is because the brains and kidneys of newborns and infants do not know how to handle it causing chemical abnormalities in their bloodstreams.
Especially in the summer time when heat waves can cause everyone panic about dehydration, doctors say don;t give them water. Instead, keep them on the breast milk or formula.
I don’t know about you, but the first thing I think about when I am dehydrated is a warm glass of milk. (sarcasm) I don’t care if that milk came from a gorgeous breast: when I’m thirsty, I want something like water.
Dehydration is scary with kids. It could be easy to give in because your little dude is vomiting or exploding out its anus. Just be careful to not freak out and give your baby water. You can give them al the water they need with Pedialyte too.

Pedialyte is some nasty stuff….. I though it would have tasted better!
