Your Sunscreen is Expired? That is Very Bad!

Soccer practice, doctor's appointments, status meetings, the lunch you packed, train schedule, tee time, tea time, medications, grocery list, vacation plans, presentation, cascading style sheets, birthday presents, bowling league, volunteer organizations, oil changes, sprinkler system winterization, diaper sizes, allergies and cell phone numbers are just a few things that a dad keeps track of. So how the heck are you supposed to remember to check that your sunscreen is current?
There are 2 great reasons to make sure that your sunscreen has not expired. One is that it is generally agreed upon that expired sunscreen is less effective at cancer prevention. If your sunscreen is expiring, consider that you may not be using enough. The SPF rating is based on you putting a certain amount on your skin. It is important to give yourself a proper coat per the instructions.
The second reason is that it seems that some people are allergic to expired sunscreen.
I have three data points that people who used a certain brand of sunscreen after it expired experienced red rashy breakouts on their skin.
There you have it noodads. One wacky list, one good and one flimsy reason to keep that sunscreen fresh!
Should you or your kids have a reaction to the good sunscreen, the national skin center recommends seeing a dermatologist for a skin patch test
