Is it OK to let your kids stay up for the Super Bowl?

janet-jackson-super-bowl-pic-5.jpgThe big game is coming up and if you are like me, you will surely be watching. But will your kids? On one hand, it’s the biggest stage and the biggest football game of the year. On the other hand, it is a school night and it goes on way past your kids’ bedtime.

And this doesn’t even count what your kids will be seeing if they stay up. They may see Prince stroking his guitar or maybe catch a little Rhythm Nation boob action. Is that what you want them to see?

Which brings us to today’s question…
Is it OK to let your kids stay up for the Super Bowl?

This is the latest installment in our Master Debaters Question of the Week Series. There are some topics that seem to fall into the consensus category: drunk driving is bad, guns kill people, Transformers are better than GoBots. But that only covers less than 1% of the decisions you and your spouse make towards the upbringing of your kids. The majority of issues tend to fall more in the gray area.

Here at Noodad.com, we take pride in delivering important advice for dads. But we realize that some of our advice is subjective. The collected readership surely has things to add and unique perspectives to contribute.

So where do you weigh in?

  • Thanks
  • I'll just let to children be with me in others shows.
  • I do not allow their children to watch this, and not accustomed to listen to pop music
  • I am not comfortable so big no from my end!

If they're interested in football, then heck yeah! Just don't let them watch the Half-time Show. But who watches that anyhow?
