Interesting topic Greg. But I have to disagree.. I'd go with 123456... Mainly because they wont be disappointed with the suckyness of the first three episodes. Then, when they get to the original three, they'll end it on a high note.

Plus, kids might enjoy (I know.. it's a stretch) Jar Jar Binks and his crazy, wacky hijinks... How do I express sarcasm on this?

Might want to start them with the Christmas Special so you can set the bar really low right at the beginning... It doesn't get worse than when Bee Arthur sings and dances to Alien Klezmer music!

Happy Life Day!

I agree on the 4 5 6 1 2 3. Only because they might complain about going from such great special effects to crappy ones (although good at the time).

Kidding

My husband is the real Star Wars geek (don't get me started on his organized "they're not dolls" collection stored so nicely in the C3PO and Darth Vadar head collector cases), but I've seen all the movies and when Episodes 1, 2 and 3 came out, I really liked trying to catch all the "hints".

But then you catch errors that aggravate you (or your spouse) "Leah said she remembered her mother a little bit in (whatever episode), but here (watching Episode 3) she dies giving birth. No baby can remember that. I can't believe they screwed that up"...blah blah blah.

When we watch Return of the Jedi on tv, we like to guess which Darth/Anniken or Obiwon will be there :)

Ewok adventures early is a good move IMHO. Although you need to be clear to her that they dont make an appearance in the first 2 movies. Plus, be prepared to explain why some of those cute little Ewoks bite it by Stormtrooper fire.

I agree with the 4,5,6,1,2,3 but only non special edition allowed. My kids can choose their religion, style, lifestyle and I will always love and respect them. But I will disown them if they ever accept that Greedo shot first. Not under this roof.
I plan on showing my daughter the "Ewok Adventures" sometime around 3 or 4 to introduce her to Star Wars. Is that the right move?
